Havener Visit

The Haveners came and visited Ninnie today, so they came over to see Cole and Caroline.  Chloe was in school, so she didn’t get to see everybody.  It was a good visit, and we sure are glad they came.  This was the last time we saw Ikey, so we are happy to have a picture of him with Cole.IMG_1363

Titans Game for the Boys

We were leaving church this morning and AD texted us asking if we wanted his two tickets to the Titans.  We were a bit worn out from the Knoxville trip, but it was a nice day, so Matt decided to take Cole.  They had a really good time, and although Cole enjoyed the game, I think he enjoyed the Sprite, hotdog, and cotton candy the most…. and he looks pretty darn cute in the new hat he begged his dad to purchase!

Just Like Old Times

Matt and I decided at the very last minute to head to Knoxville for the night to see the Vols play S Carolina….. and we are so glad we did!  It ended up being the best win the Vols have had in a very, VERY long time.  It felt a little bit like the way it did back in college.  It was a great game and a great boost for the Vol Nation.

Waving at Daddy

Caroline just loves her daddy.  She would choose him over me any day!  When he is at home working in his office, she will crawl to his door, hit on it until she gets his attention, and wave.  She will sit there for the longest just watching him.  It is just the cutest thing ever!

Caroline’s First Hike

We went hiking today with Scotty, Loulou, Christy and Anderson.  Cole and Anderson did pretty well for a 2 plus mile hike.  It was a little tiring, so I was proud of how they hung in there.  Caroline was a sweetie, of course, but she just couldn’t make it.  She ended up getting a good nap while Momma did all the work.

COLE IS 5!!!!!

HAPPY, HAPPY 5th BIRTHDAY, COLE!!

It was such a beautiful outside today, and thank goodness it was!   I’ve been so completely bummed because the only time we could have Cole’s party was the weekend of fall break.  I was afraid not many people would be able to come, but we went ahead and planned it anyway.  Well….. unfortunately, I was right.  Only 2 people could come.  So, last minute, I cancelled it and invited everyone to Sonic after school.  The Sonic is right beside Cole’s school, and everyone was able to make it!  So, I ordered everyone ice cream cones, and they played and played and played on the playground.  It was the best party I could have thrown together last minute, and several moms even said they were going to steal my idea!  Best of all, Matt made it into town early enough to surprise Cole at Sonic.  He was wild – well…. of course he was – and he had a ball!  He never even noticed that we canceled his party with everyone at Sonic….and Chloe was feeling much better today, so she was able to be there (instead of being at school b/c she has to be fever free 24 hrs before returning).

IMG_1316 IMG_1317 IMG_1318 IMG_1319 IMG_1320 IMG_1321After Sonic we all headed home and Cole opened his presents.  Then, it was Mexican time!  We met Ninnie and Big Poppa there, and of course, we had to celebrate Ninnie’s birthday, too!

Sick Chloe

Chloe awoke this morning not feeling well, and she wouldn’t touch her breakfast.  I didn’t realize she was feeling bad and was getting frustrated with her.  Then she started crying at the kitchen table saying she couldn’t eat because she didn’t feel well.  That made me feel horrible, and I should have known something was up with her acting that way with Pappy and Papa there.  So, I told her to go get back in bed, and when I went in there with her, I took her temp and she had a fever.  So…. it was off to doctor we go.

IMG_1306Dr didn’t seem too concerned, just seems to be a virus.  Chloe continued to be up and down all day.  Fever, then no fever, then fever would spike again.  She ended up taking a nap in the afternoon.  FIRST NAP IN YEARS!!!  She didn’t even nap when she had strep the week Caroline was born!  I can tell she doesn’t feel well, but hopefully she will bounce back tomorrow in time for Cole Train’s birthday!

Oh…. and Gray was born today!  Thought I had the picture Ryan sent me, but I don’t guess I do.  7 lbs, 6 oz. and cute as can be!
