Chloe and Cole’s 1st Trip to Neyland

We have all been so excited for this weekend to get here!  After Cole was finished with school, we picked up Chloe and headed east (Caroline headed west to spend the weekend with Pappy and Papa).

We checked into our hotel and then headed to Market Square for some dinner and entertainment.  We ate at one of our favorites – Tomato Head, and we treated the kids to Sprite.  They were so happy they wanted a picture!IMG_1058

And after dinner, we treated the kids to ice cream.  Cole wore as much as he ate!IMG_1060 IMG_1063

The kids stayed up and watched tv for a while we watched tv in our room (we had a suite w/ a pullout couch).  We ended up staying awake much longer than we should have because the kids were up at normal time…. and we had a looong, hot day ahead of us.  We ate breakfast and headed to the tailgate.  There, the kids played and played and played all day.  Abby, Fisher, Cade, and other kids were there, and they completely wore themselves out!  And…. it was so so so so hot.  I was soaking wet!  Game time wasn’t until 6, so we were hot all day.IMG_1064 IMG_1066 IMG_1070 IMG_1071 IMG_1072 IMG_1074

About an hour before game time (and after the Vol Walk), we started the walk to Neyland.IMG_1076 IMG_1078 IMG_1081 IMG_1082 IMG_1086We stayed until half time because it was a complete blow out at that time, and the kids were absolutely worn.out.  They were so tired they almost could not function.  We rode back to the hotel with the Clarks and we continued the party there.  Again, we let the kids stay up way too late, but it was such a fun day and weekend.  The kids first trip to Neyland was a huge success, and we can’t wait to take them back!

Cole’s 1st Day of Pre-K

Today is Cole’s big day!  He’s been so excited to start Pre-K and has felt like such a big boy.  He was easy to get ready (as usual) and pacing the floors.  And, he wanted to wear his orange, of course!  We got some first day of school pics, and off we went!

And his sweet teachers, Ms. Tam and Ms. Terry sent me this picture of him.  I just love it!  IMG_1100It was a fun morning, but it was also a little bittersweet – so happy that Cole is so happy and excited to go to Pre-K, but deep down, I just can’t wrap my mind around him starting real K this time next year.  Sigh….
