Last week was Caroline’s 2 month appointment, and it went fine. We were with the doctor for almost an hour asking questions and trying to figure out this diary allergy and reflux (love her doctor for always taking such time with us!). Her reflux is so bad, so we’ve increased the meds some. You would never know she was uncomfortable, though, because she is the sweetest thing and hardly ever cries. She had to have her first round of shots, and it was heartbreaking. It was the first time I have ever seen her cry like that, and she couldn’t stop! Poor baby!
At this appointment, her doctor noticed Caroline’s hip was still popping, so she said we need to have an ultrasound at Vanderbilt Children’s. Today was the day for the ultrasound, and Caroline did very well. It was so pitiful trying to hold her and keep her still and satisfied, but she cooperated rather nicely. The US tech told us he didn’t think we had anything to worry about, and we received a call from our doctor later that everything was okay. It was probably just cartilage popping and she should outgrow it. No harness or cast would need to be worn and no surgery necessary. Whew!
