Labor Day Weekend

We made another spur-of-the-moment trip this weekend.  We decided to ship the kids to the grandparents for the night while we took off to Knoxville for the game.  Carrie and Ryan would be there, so that made our decision.  We left bright and early Saturday morning, and I could’t resist getting a picture (or several pictures) of Cole in his UT gear.

The trip to Knoxville was a blast.  We very briefly saw Mom and Dad a couple of times, and we were able to sit by Carrie and Ryan at the game.  We almost didn’t get into the game, though.  We had the same idea as most other fans did…. to scalp tickets before the game.  This was the hardest ticket we’ve ever had to get.  It was crazy!  Matt ended up “pulling some strings” to get us into the game, but it was still the end of the 1st quarter when we got in.  We hung out the rest of the night with Carrie and Ryan and ended back up in the hotel room ordering Gus’s late night.  I don’t think I will ever tire of late night Gus’s.

The rest of the weekend was low key and filled with football, but we did get in some park time and lunch with the Rosses.

The rock climber.

And more rock climbers.
