I forgot to write about dinner last night. I cooked a nice meal, and I guess because we had been out of town for 4 nights, it felt weird to cook. Seemed like I hadn’t been in the kitchen much lately, and I guess Chloe felt the same way. We started eating, and she would take a bite of her corn and say, “Mmmmm. Good!” Then, she would eat some broccoli and say, “Mmmm. Very good!” She repeated the same while eating her chicken, and then she looked at me and said, “Thank you, Momma.” I said, “For what?” And she said, “For cooking.” Hahahaha….
This morning Matt got Cole out of his crib, and he had his paci in his mouth. Last night when I put him to bed, the paci was not in his mouth but above his head where we could see it in case we had to get to it in the middle of the night. So, I guess Cole is learning to get it to soothe himself. Maybe this is why we have been sleeping through the night lately!
Tonight was free ice cream cone night at Ben & Jerry’s, and we could not have been more excited…… or I could not have been more excited, so I got Chloe excited. We ate dinner and headed out. I had an errand to run first, so we went out of the way to Wolf Camera only to find that they were closed. So, we made our way to Ben & Jerry’s on the square, along with the rest of Franklin. The Ben & Jerry’s line was out the door, in front of the store, and wrapped all the way around the building! And, because it was 55 degrees, we just kept on driving. We decided we would go to Baskin Robbins just around the square, and that must have been everyone’s Plan B because it was packed as well. On to Plan C….. Sonic. As we were driving to Sonic, Cole started crying and it was already his bedtime. So, Matt dropped Cole and me off at home, and then Chloe started crying because she thought she wasn’t getting ice cream. Matt took Chloe to Sonic while I bathed Cole. I think both kids got just what they wanted.
